Soundwave is a bit of a unique mech, even in his own canon. He's considered the Spymaster of the Decepticons, and has earned that reputation by having 'eyes and ears' everywhere. He records all data that he can get at, and any that's locked behind another system, he tries to hack into. Usually, he can do this remotely ( i.e.; through the web ) but if it's really interesting, or he deems it important enough, he may try to hack into it via hardware.

IF YOU DO NOT WANT HIM TO BE ABLE TO REMOTELY HACK, THAT IS PERFECTLY FINE. Please, just be aware that he's ridiculously good at finding out what he wants to know.

WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU:

1; Do you want Soundwave to be able to creep on your character' s PORTAL? If so, could he access said PORTAL remotely, and see conversations, or text messages?

2; Is it alright for Soundwave to send small mini-cons ( automated drones ) into your character's room, or Place of Solace to record information?

Yes to everything for all of them. With MISS-Y her PORTAL is internal and she has crazy future technology so uh...yeah. Might be hard or something.

1. Let the hacking wars begin. :D Given security program, Rinzler is pretty serious on encrypting his stuff. If he detects Soundwave trying to hack his things, he'll probably try to hack right back... which probably won't succeed, but will be hilarious anyways.

In general, he probably won't be able to hack Rinzler's PORTAL, or any conversations he's personally secured--but exceptions could happen. And he's free of course to creep all over anything unsecured, which covers... a lot of data.

2. Room, sure. Rinzler's spent... maybe two hours there. The arena... he can try, but it'll be much less easy. Unless they're specifically well cloaked against detection by Grid tech (which could be a thing, but is unlikely to start that way), he'll detect the intrusion, and probably respond by destroying or quarantining the drones.

As for no_hometown, feel free to creep on the PORTAL unless something is marked as encrypted, but no drones in his Place of Solace.

1. Ffffft. Go right ahead. Aqua isn't incredibly skilled with technology, though she might notice after a while...

1. Yes to both Madsen and Kyle, they both know how to do encryptions, but they're by no means very good at them.
